Senior class in Kasukabe 8/30

The Aikido Meiryukan senior class alternates with the weapons class every Wednesday from 9:15 am at the Kasukabe budojo. There is also a class held at Cosmos Arena Fukiage the last Saturday of each month.

Today we broke down the confusing kata of the yokomen uchi movement. We worked on correct uke, proper side strike, backfist and block, timing and distance as well as the way we are trying to take balance.

Mixed class in Kasukabe

Full class this evening at the Aikido Meiryukan Kasukabe club. A mixed class of kindergarten kids, elementary kids, a junior high girl, high school boy, and 4 adults ranging from white belt beginner to long time black belt. Different people, at different stages, working on different points, but all enjoying training together. This is Aikido!
 

Wednesday weapons

Still n the midst of the Japanese summer school holiday hence a few visitors to the Kasukabe Wednesday weapons class.

Today we first went through 31 no jo. Worked on not just rememebring the moves, but doing them correctly and with intention.

Next was kumi jo #7. Getting off center, taking center, timing and distance.

We finished with a fun throw using the nikajo lock as a starting point.
 

3日目の内弟子体験

8月20日日曜日

3日目の内弟子体験です。今日が体験最終日でした。

今日私はさいたま同好会の稽古に参加した後、坂戸同好会の稽古に参加して終了しました。

会員の立場で稽古に参加した時と、内弟子の立場で稽古に参加したときの稽古の見え方、見るべき場所が全然違い、ジム先生と指導員の方々がいつもこんなに凄いことをしていたのかと感動しました。体験で養った視野の広さをこれからの稽古に活かしていきたいと思います。

本当にこんな貴重な体験をさせて頂けて感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです！

この内弟子体験でお会いした指導員の皆さん会員の皆さん。お見苦しい場面や分かりにくい指導をしてしまった時もありました。それでも暖かく応援の言葉をかけてくださり本当にありがとうございました！

内弟子体験2日目

今日は午前野田、午後川越で稽古でした。

 

2日目、少し疲れが見え始めたかも。残り1日も頑張ります！

 

これは横面打ち三ヶ条抑え一です↑

面をブロックするために相手よりも少し早めに後ろ足を動かすことがポイントです！

内弟子体験1日目

内弟子体験1日目の今日は、まず龍本部道場で1時間研修稽古に参加しました。いつもとは違う環境で、違う方々との稽古は緊張感もありながらとても充実していて、勉強になりました。

その後、ジム先生のお家にて事務作業をしました。夜は春日部の市民武道館にて動画撮影と演舞稽古を行いました。動画撮影をするなかで、すごく基本的でありながらも普段気に留めていなかったことを改めて学ぶことができました。明日も引き続き、多くのことを吸収できるよう精一杯頑張ります！

第5回 明龍館暑中稽古

2023年8月5日(土)合気道明龍館暑中稽古が野田市総合公園体育館にて行われました。

今年も1クラス1時間の稽古で計5クラス5時間の稽古が行われ、全5クラス参加された方には皆勤賞の表彰状と記念品が贈呈されました。

猛暑の中、50名が参加し29名が皆勤賞となりました。

途中、暑さでダウンされる方もいましたが最後まで無事に今年も乗り越えることができました。

来年も暑中稽古はありますので、体力に自信がある方は是非参加お待ちしております！

また、今回は特別に暑中稽古の後に清水公園でBBQが行われ、稽古で疲れているにもかかわらず夜まで盛り上げりました。

皆さん本当にお疲れさまでした！！

茨城県笠間市にて、合気神社の参拝から始まる、本格的な研修合宿となります。

8/12 春日部同好会

 残暑が続き、まだ稽古が辛い時期ですね～

くれぐれも熱中症にならないようにお気を付けください。

8月12日の春日部同好会、少年部は構えのチェックから。構えを行うとき後ろ足のかかとが浮かないように気を付けましょう！一人ずつチェックするとできているので、皆でやるときも忘れないようにしましょうね。

今回行った技は「両手持ち天地投げ（一）」・かかり稽古で「片手持ち肘当て呼吸投げ」をおこないました。

一般部は熊谷・さいたま・野田・流山、他団体の方の参加があり、いつもとは少し違う雰囲気に。少年部同様「両手持ち天地投げ（一）」「両手持ち四方投げ（一）」「座り技両手持ち呼吸法（一）」、そしてかかり稽古で「呼吸投げ」を行いました。

まだまだ暑い日が続きますが、また是非春日部同好会にお越しください！

Training in Kazo 8/6

Another hot and humid day at Aikido Meiryukan Kazo. This room, which is on the second floor of the Fuji Arena, has just 6 little windows which can only be slightly opened. The 2 big fans merely blow hot air around the room. This is training of the spirit! 

Today one of the students received her yellow belt. Congratulations! 

For students who couldn`t test, or did not pass the summer test, autumn tests will be in October. I would recommend picking up the pace if you wish to grade.

Today both the kids and adults class were small. A few people were absent due to over training during yesterday`s shochugeiko.

After the usual basic warm-ups, the kids tried their hands at some weapon work. We practiced kumi jo #1
