Saturday`s Meiryukan Nagareyama training was held at the Kikkoman arena. We worked on pivoting with a partner, followed by both the standing and seated version of katate mochi sokumen iriminage ni. A Tough technique for both shite and uke. The last 10 minutes or so was test training.
On Sunday we were finally back to the usual Sakado location after 3 weeks of using different facilities. The focus was on basic movements. We spent almost half the class on all 6 of the kihon dosa
with partner. Ten into a few random shodan waza.
More random techniques and test training at the Meiryukan Saitama club. On 6/25 in Kasukabe is the joint 3rd kyu and above test, then on 7/3 will be the Saitama club summer test. Are you ready?
Using public facilities during the Spring always entails battling for mat time during event season. Kasukabe training was once again moved over to Iwatsuki. 30 minutes of paired kihon dosa followed by test practice.
Note* 6/18 class time change, check the schedule for details.
The Wednesday kids are also working hard on their upcoming grading. The Noda kids test will be held on July 13th. Applications to be in by the 6th. Possibly a few new brown belts...
The Tuesday class summer test will be on July 12th. A few junior high boys will be trying for 6, 5, 4th kyu. Good luck to all!
Note* No class the week after tests on 7/19, and open training on the 26th.
