Suwari waza week

Strengthening hips, knees, ankles and toes with some suwari waza!

Worked on using the big toes to shift weight when doing pivoting movements during yonkajo ni. 

Keeping the hips down and weight forward on the axis knee. Big balanced turns.



The kids worked on keeping the hips down when both raising and lowering the knees while moving forward in shomen uchi ikkajo osae ichi.

Pulling up the back foot quickly to maintain a stable posture.
