The typhoon has passed and the weather was great all weekend.
With our upcoming joint tests in just a few weeks, everyone has been picking up the pace. Especially the 4 kids brown belts who will be testing for shodan.
On Saturday we were in Noda in the morning, then Nagareyama in the afternoon. Sunday was Saitama in the morning, then over to Sakado (Kawajima dojo) after lunch.
Each class we have been strictly going over the basic movements, then through all the techniques on the syllabus, always finishing with repeated jiyu-waza sessions. Each time trying to go for bigger movements, harder strikes and throws, and more energy. It has been tough, and still will be for the next 3 weeks...
However, just like the recent weather - "If you want to see the sunshine, you have to weather the storm." - Frank Lane
