2024 Aikido Meiryukan Kagami Biraki

1月20日(土)春日部市民武道館にて鏡開き式を行いました。

コロナウィルスにより4年ぶりの開催となるため、今回初めて鏡開きに参加される方も多数いらっしゃいました。

皆、この日のために一生懸命練習した成果がとても出ていました。

100 people from various Aikido Meiryukan clubs came together for our first Kagami biraki in 4 years. 

Meiryukan instructors started things off with an exciting and dynamic display of aikido, followed by an adorable demo from the junior kids. Then we went into the general enbu. Kihon dosa renzoku, kihon waza, chukyu waza, buki waza, and jiyu-waza.

This year each category was lead by a different student, most of which were still in Elementary or Junior-high. This was the first time for all members of each group together. With only a few mins. to rehearse, the leaders planned and arranged everything. They didn`t crack under the pressure, and delivered a practically perfect demonstration. Fantasitc job by all!

Thanks to all the adult members who came early to set up the dojo. This year we had only half of the space to use for the enbu. We thought it might be impossible, however somehow we managed.

鏡開き式の後は、お汁粉会を行いました。

こちらも4年ぶりとなるため準備がバタバタしてしまいましたが、保護者の方々のおかげで無事に終えることができました。本当に感謝しております。

Following the demonstrtion we held our お汁粉会. Thanks to all the parents who helped out in the preparation. 7kg of mochi to be rolled into balls, then dished out with sweet bean soup to 100 people.

A nice warm treat on such a cold January day.

Tuesday through Thursday at Meiryukan

Tuesday evening in Noda we worked on shomen uchi hijishime ichi, suwari waza shomen uchi kotegaeshi ni, then played with some more flowing variations from hijishime to other throwing techniques.

On Wednesday at the kids Shunpukan class we went through the usual warm-ups then into different tai sabaki. Practiced evasions and keeping a safe distance. Fun class!

Thursday evening in Kasukabe we practiced pivoting movements and how to use them in techniques. katate mochi sokumen iriminage ni, ryote mochi tenchinage ni, ushiro waza ikkajo ichi, ni & shomen uchi jiyu-waza.
 

Sunday in Saitama

The day after Kagami Biraki and we are back to regular training.

Sunday morning in Kazo we worked on katate mochi nikajo osae ni (tachi/suwari), katate mochi irimitsuki

Points for nikajo were keeping the elbows relaxed but stable, and using the lower body to create flow of power.

In the after noon in Sakado the adult class practiced side strike techniques.

yokomen uchi hijishime ichi (tachi/suwari), yokomen uchi hijiate kokyunage

Points for hijishime were keeping the arm tight against the body with posture not arm strength, and thinking more about locking the shoulder than the elbow.

前半は、基本動作と先週の復習で回転動作の連続を行いました。

後半は技を１本、「片手持ち二ヶ条抑え（一）」と、かかり稽古で「片手持ち一ヶ条投げ」を行いました。

奉納演武基本技では、帯毎にその技のバリエーション違いで稽古を行いました。

 

Demo practice in Nagareyama

Right out of Winter holidays and rushing to get ready for this Saturday`s kagami biraki.

It has been 4 years since we last held this event and the students are both excited and nervous. Demonstration training only started this year, leaving most the students with only 2 or 3 times to rehearse.

Believe in yourself, believe in your training. Just show what and where you are now.

今年も寒稽古を行います。合気道の技術だけでなく寒さに負けない体を作りましょう！

一般部・幼少年部、レベルごとに分かれているので初心者も安心して稽古できます。

1クラスのみ、懇親会のみの参加も大歓迎です。(全クラス参加の方は表彰状と記念品を贈呈します)

①     9：30～10：30　(一ヶ条、四方投げ、天地投げ)

②    10：40～11：40　(二ヶ条、側面入身投げ、肘当て)

③    12：30～13：30　(三ヶ条、正面入身投げ、肘締め)

④    13：40～14：40　(四ヶ条、小手返し、呼吸法)

⑤    14：50～15：50　(自由技、護身技)

n  場所：春日部市民武道館　第一武道場

n  参加費：1クラス500円(明龍館会員以外1,000円)、全クラス(5クラス)2,000円(明龍館会員以外4,000円)
