Sunday morning in Kazo we worked on katate mochi nikajo osae ni (tachi/suwari), katate mochi irimitsuki
Points for nikajo were keeping the elbows relaxed but stable, and using the lower body to create flow of power.
yokomen uchi hijishime ichi (tachi/suwari), yokomen uchi hijiate kokyunage
Points for hijishime were keeping the arm tight against the body with posture not arm strength, and thinking more about locking the shoulder than the elbow.
