With Autumn tests just around the corner, we have recently had more visitors than usual at the Saturday Fukiage kids class. Making some new friends with fresh energy. Always nice to get a new mix of people to work with. Training together and improving together.
Next Saturday following the regular training, we will be holding a fireworks viewing party outside the dojo. Bring some snacks and join us!
Today the adult class went thoroughly through the 6 basic movements before heading in to a review of ikkajo 1 & 2. Some points were - keeping the back leg straight and strong in the initial strike and following diagonal cut down part. For #2 we worked on leading with the hips and making big pivots. The remainder of the class was spent on test training.
