Sakado 8/6

After a full day of training the day before at the Meiryukan shochu geiko, as expected not too many people showed up for Sunday's class.

Today we worked on tai no henko ichi(with partner) as well as shomen uchi nikajo osae ichi/ni. The main point throughout today's keiko was the use of the front knee during pivoting and shifting movements.

Note* 8/13 is a holiday, no training at the Meiryukan Sakado club.

Wednesday trial class!

Last night we had 8 kids come out for the annual summer trial lessons at the Meiryukan Noda Shunpukan club. From 2 years old to elementary 2nd grade.

We had fun with the basics - kamae, suriashi, ukemi and some simple suwari waza. 

Everyone did awesome!

Thanks to the Noda mothers group for their support with the visiting parents and junior brown belt assistants, Riku and Yu for helping out throughout the training.

Next trial lesson will be held at the Noda junior-high school on August 22nd from 19:40 - 20:40.

Noda junior-high class

Another wet, hot and humid evening at the Noda #1 junior high school.

Today we worked on tai no henko ichi/ni and katate mochi sokumen iriminage ichi/ni. The adults finished the class with suwariwaza katate mochi nikajo osae ni.

This Tuesday evening class is a joint kids and adults class. The kids bring the energy and the adults keep them inline. An interesting atmosphere. Trial lessons August 22nd!

Summer Aikido!

The kids summer vacation Aikido Challenge course has begun here at the Kasukabe dojo.

Every Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 until the end of August (Aug. 15th is a holiday)
* adults class as usual

All Meiryukan members welcome! Only 1,000yen for the whole summer holiday span.
