More suwari waza

All about strong hips, knees, ankles and toes this week throughout Meiryukan.

Even the kids were hard at work with suwari waza!

In Fukiage, we tried our hands at some adult techniques. suwari waza ryote mochi tenchinage ichi. Most of them have done the technique standing, but it was their first attempt at the seated version.

In Sakado, we practiced suwari waza shomen uchi sankajo osae ichi, suwari waza yokomen uchi hijishime ni, suwari waza yokomen uchi kokyunage.

Learning the placement of the hips and knees, strenthening the toes, and losening up some flexibility in the ankles and hips.

Makes for a much better understanding of the tachi waza.
